REHEARSAL
I prefer to attend your wedding rehearsal if I’m available. This is a good time to find out the best positioning for photos of the ceremony. It’s also a great time to scout around for special locations indoors and outdoors for the bridal group pictures.
WEDDING DAY
Before the Ceremony
I like to arrive at your ceremony location approximately 2 hours before your ceremony to take pre-ceremony pictures of everyone finishing up getting ready. If the bride and groom prefer not to see each other before the ceremony it works out well to get the guys group shots started about 1½ hours before the ceremony. A half hour later and we’ll be shooting the gals pictures. The goal is to be done 1/2 hour before the ceremony begins.
Ceremony
Photos will be taken of all aspects of the ceremony from as many angles as possible without becoming distracting. I try to stay out of site as much as possible and I’m very careful to not become a distraction.
After the Ceremony
All the bride and groom photos, full bridal party and family photos will be taken, if they haven’t been before the ceremony. Important tip: try to schedule plenty of time for photos after the ceremony. You will feel rushed and may not get all the photos you would like if you are paying a limo by the hour to sit outside waiting for you. Consider not having your reception dinner too soon after the ceremony as well.
Additional Locations
Weather permitting, you can stop for photos at a nearby setting without any additional charge. Just let me know before the wedding where it will be so I can scout it out.
Reception
Time to enjoy yourselves with family and friends! The caterers like us to get the cake cutting photos done as soon as possible so they can get it cut while everyone is eating. My part of the day ends after capturing good memories of you and your guests enjoying the food and having a good time (and after enjoying a delicious plate of food myself! ;-)
Dance
I can cover the dance up until 11 pm if you choose to purchase that service separately. See the contract for current pricing.
Proofs & Web Site
My goal is to get the photos up on a web site for you and your guests to see (and order prints from) in a week or less. They are guaranteed to be up for at least one month.
The proofs are usually back in less than 2 weeks. The number of proofs varies with the size of the bridal party, the size of the wedding couple’s families and the amount of time that we are allowed to take photos. On average I take over 1,000 photos for your wedding and pick out the best 300-350 photos for your proof book..I pick out only one photo from each group shot setup so that your book doesn’t have multiple shots of the groupings. The bride and groom receives 10% off of the cost of prints ordered within a month of receiving the proof book (so sneak your friends and family’s orders on your order and save them 10%, too!). The proofs and book are yours to keep!
